How to feed and obtain Vrakhir Blood
Coen’s night form uses blood for healing and Vampirism progression. Regular feeding raises Corruption and unlocks the ordinary Vampirism tree; Vrakhir Blood is a separate named source that grants a specific power or upgrades an existing one.
How to feed
- Shift into Coen’s vampire form at night.
- Hold Focus Mode and look for red-outlined animals or weakened enemies.
- Approach a valid target and use Voracious Bite when the prompt appears.
- Feed only after combat pressure is safe; the animation can be interrupted by nearby enemies.
Animals and hostile enemies are the safest sources. They restore health and add Corruption with little story risk. Feeding on a friendly or named NPC can kill them, remove their questline, or change a romance, so make a manual save first.
How to get Vrakhir Blood
Source | Ability / use | Requirement --- | --- | --- Ambrus | Scarlet Shield | Defeat Ambrus in The Gilded Gauntlet and choose to drain him Bakir | Shadowstorm | Defeat Bakir in The Lunar Game and choose to drain him Xanthe | Blood Surge | Defeat Xanthe in The Cycle of Love and choose to drain her Blood vials | Unlock or upgrade supported Vrakhir abilities | Loot Murohn dens at night or complete documented quests such as Xanthe’s Recruiters and Lost Blood
Boss blood grants the ability immediately and does not require a skill point. Blood vials behave more like manuals: consume the correct vial to unlock or raise the associated power. Drinking named Vrakhir blood also raises Corruption substantially.
Safe farming and storage
Feed on wildlife near shrines before travelling to a difficult night quest. Keep ordinary blood consumables in reserve so a low-health conversation does not force you to bite a friendly NPC. Save before every vassal duel: killing preserves equipment or alternate dialogue, while draining trades that option for a named ability.
What not to confuse
Regular blood is not a Swordmastery or Witchcraft manual. It advances Corruption and Vampirism. Vrakhir Blood is not a generic currency either: each named source is tied to a specific ability, vial, quest, or boss reward. Read the item description before consuming it.
