Merchants and purchase conditions
Merchants expand their stock after quests, teacher unlocks, and story milestones. Visit them after each vassal route and note the time cost before travelling across the valley.
Merchant type | What to check | Condition pattern --- | --- | --- Fencer / blacksmith | Swords, repairs, Swordmastery manuals | New stock after nearby Court Activities or teacher quests Witchcraft vendor | Manuals and spell upgrades | Often unlocked by a local quest or pilgrimage General store / medic | Healing and blood consumables | Restock after time advances; prices can rise with Infamy Edicts
Known Witchcraft leads include Anca at Crossroads Inn after Echoes of Silenced Bells, Vera in Briar Sloughs, the Peddler of Wonders in the Midden, and Mevasser in Neustadt. Catalin becomes a Swordmastery teacher through Bakir’s Pillories Old Hand branch.
Buy a manual before spending the final skill point of a route, and keep enough currency for repairs and healing. Higher Infamy Edicts can increase prices, so purchase critical manuals early when possible.
