Swordmastery manual locations
Swordmastery upgrades come from manuals discovered in the world or purchased from fencers. XP and skill points alone do not replace a missing manual, so collect the book before planning a weapon route.
Where to search
- Check soldier camps, bandit hideouts, ancient ruins, and locked chests near Court Activities.
- Speak to every Swordmastery teacher and fencer after completing their local quest; inventories can expand as the story advances.
- Catalin’s Tutor, unlocked from Bakir’s Pillories route Old Hand, becomes a Swordmastery teacher after his duel.
Collection route
Start by marking shrines and blacksmiths around Laslea and Maragir. Clear nearby camps while doing Ambrus activities, then revisit fencer vendors after each vassal duel. Record the manual name, skill, price, region, and patch in your notes—manual inventories and chest rewards are the fields most likely to change after a hotfix.
Best purchases first
Prioritize a reliable perfect-block or riposte upgrade, then stamina recovery, then a fast finisher. A manual that improves a weapon you do not use is lower value than a defensive upgrade that works in every duel. Keep one save before spending a scarce manual or accepting a teacher’s reward.
The official Skills & Power bulletin confirms the manual-based progression model; use the in-game map and current vendor stock for exact coordinates.
