The Heart Wants What It Wants walkthrough
Evidence: PC Gamer's retail walkthrough and PowerPyx's side-quest index agree on the Altenmarkt Inn start, Ocha/Nora route, and Broad Swing reward. Exact hourglass costs are not published consistently; follow the installed journal.
Start and prerequisites
Find Ocha and Nora in the Altenmarkt Inn in Svartrau City. No boss or court prerequisite is listed. The quest is available after reaching the open world.
Steps and choices
- Follow the marker to Andrei's butcher shop and enter through the upper balcony with vampire traversal.
- Inspect the ring, pendant, and cleaver in the upper room. The ring is the correct memento for Ocha's spell.
- Return to the balcony and give Ocha the ring.
- Open the pig pen to distract the guard, then draw the hex outside the shop.
- Meet Ocha by the river and choose her final advice branch.
Killing Andrei starts combat and changes Ocha's final options; using the ring makes Andrei kill himself and preserves the alternate dialogue branch. The quest awards the Broad Swing Swordmastery manual. Ocha can later provide access to the Uriashi route, even if she does not return home.
Missables, time and links
Check the journal for each hourglass cost before committing. Keep a save before the memento and final river dialogue. The route is associated with Ocha's Swordmastery teacher unlock and Lacra's Song of the Mountain access.
