Where Loyalty Lies walkthrough: join the Manumits

Where Loyalty Lies walkthrough

Retail evidence: PC Gamer confirms that joining the Manumits requires reaching Notorious, the fourth (IV) Infamy level.

Raise Infamy

1. Begin the Crake/Manumit chain after the early Laslea objectives.
2. Raise Infamy by completing marked Soldier Camps and, when available, Soldier Pickets.
3. Angering and defeating a Vrakhiri boyar also raises Infamy, but save before a vassal commitment.
4. Open the Court tab and reach Notorious (IV).
5. Return to the Manumit route and accept the alliance when the quest presents it.

This choice opens the later Manumit quest spine—The Firebrand, Shadows in the Woods, What Hunts the Night, What Moves the Dead, Who Pulls the Strings, Distant Shadows, and Rise at Dawn. Keep a separate save before accepting the alliance if you want another ending route.
