BLOODDAWN

New Game Plus, skill reset, and post-game content

Current launch status

At launch, there is no confirmed New Game Plus mode and no documented carry-over list. The game starts a fresh run from the New Game menu; do not assume that levels, manuals, gear, Corruption, romance flags, or quest state transfer between saves. The community FAQ also reports no in-game New Game Plus strings or second-playthrough carry-over text. Treat NG+ as unannounced until an official patch or developer post says otherwise.

There is also no confirmed universal skill-reset/respec option. A healer, trainer, or merchant should not be treated as a respec NPC unless the interaction explicitly shows a refund prompt. Spend skill points as if the choice is permanent and keep a manual save before buying a high-cost node.

What remains after the ending

The final quest locks the 30-day story state and resolves the route you selected. After the credits, use the end-of-run screen to review the ending and return to a pre-finale save for cleanup. A post-credits scene may tease the wider saga, but it is not a free-roam epilogue or a replacement for a second campaign.

For a completion run, reload a save from before the final commitment and finish the following instead of overwriting it:

  • clear remaining village, Shrine, Haunted Site, and merchant objectives;
  • collect fixed Swordmastery and Witchcraft manuals and any missable legendary gear;
  • finish the three romance routes from separate branch saves;
  • mop up achievements tied to choices, endings, difficulty, or a specific day/night window;
  • create a labelled archive save at the start of the last-day sequence.

Best way to prepare for a second run

  1. Keep one clean pre-finale save and one save at the start of each major faction route.
  2. Record which manuals, legendary weapons, merchants, and achievements are already complete; a new run should not rely on an assumed carry-over.
  3. Choose a focus build before Day 1. Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism manuals are world-found or purchased, while vampire abilities depend on feeding and Corruption.
  4. Use the first run to map time costs and the second run to target a different ending or romance branch.
  5. Check the patch-notes page after updates. A future NG+ or respec feature would need a documented carry-over and reset cost before it is safe to plan around.

If a respec option is added later

Verify three things in-game before confirming a build guide: which points are refunded, whether manuals remain learned, and whether the reset consumes time, currency, or a rare item. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the pre-reset save. Until those details appear in official notes, the safe advice is to make a manual backup and specialize gradually.
