WalkthroughAmbrusBoss

The Gilded Gauntlet walkthrough: poison or fight Ambrus

Trigger Ambrus in Maragir and compare the Bittersweet Toast poison route with the direct duel.

BLOODDAWN

The Gilded Gauntlet walkthrough

After the duel, use Should you invite Ambrus inside? to compare the post-blood choice.

Retail evidence: PC Gamer confirms the Maragir trigger, Codric's servant, the poison route through The Bittersweet Toast, and the direct duel route.

Start the encounter

  1. Raise Ambrus's anger through his Court Activities.
  2. Travel to Maragir in the Maragir Wealds when the new marker appears.
  3. Speak with Codric's servant and follow the invitation to the ruined castle above town at night.

Poison or fight Ambrus

| Route | Requirement | | --- | --- | | Poison | Complete The Bittersweet Toast and use the poison route before the encounter. | | Direct duel | Ignore the poison setup and fight Ambrus normally at the castle. |

Save before the final approach. The fight resolves Ambrus's court route and changes which blood, loot, and ending preparations remain available; exact reward variants should be recorded from the installed build rather than inferred.
